Description

The Saint Andrew Missal, a beautiful reprint of the 1945 edition, is the most complete Traditional Missal in print. It contains Vespers and the Kyriale (a collection of Gregorian chant settings for the Ordinary of the Mass. It contains eighteen Masses (each consisting of the Kyrie , Gloria [excluded from Masses intended for weekdays/ferias and Sundays in Advent and Lent], Sanctus , and Agnus Dei ), six Credos , and several ad libitum chants) with modern notation. The Ordinary of the Mass is in Latin and English for ease of following, and the rubrics printed in red. The missal includes short narratives of each feast day for the liturgical year as well as spiritual and doctrinal notes, and features various illustrations throughout.

Hardcover; five multi-colored ribbons, 2188 pages with red edges. The missal measures 4 1/4" wide X 6 3/4" long X 1 3/4" thick.

I have my grandfather's pre-Vatican II missal; just a tiny little book with beautiful prayers. It is quite worn and I was looking for something that was similar to it and this book is it. I love the translation used for scripture, the prayers included, and the illustrations.

This missal is perfect! I love the ribbons that come with it. It's a good size with easy to read text, and feel, that makes it feel like you have a real edition of the 1945.
