The Holy Name of Jesus
It is a beautiful Catholic custom to bow our head whenever we hear the name of Jesus or say His name ourselves. Jesus' name is known far and wide, but as a word with which to swear profanely. His Name is blasphemed, He is depicted as a homosexual doing unspeakable things to His Own Body, His Mother's perpetual virginity is disdained and so forth. Symbolism of the Miraculous Medal
"Have a medal struck upon this model. All those who wear it, when it is blessed, will receive great graces."

Renewal of Baptismal Promises
The faithful renew their Baptismal Vows every year during the Easter Vigil Mass. It is a powerful experience and an important one. Many of us were baptized as infants with sponsors who answered for us. Thanks to the grace of that baptism, we were blessed to (hopefully) grow in our knowledge and love of our Faith. However, it is important that we personally recite the Vows of Baptism at least once a year. This is part of the Easter Vigil liturgy, but can also be done privately or as a family.&

The Brown Scapular
The Brown Scapular is a sacramental sign of special devotion to Our Lady. Do you wear a scapular? Should you?
WHAT IS A SCAPULAR?
The word ‘scapular’ is derived from the Latin word ‘scapula’, or shoulder blade. The scapular originated hundreds of years ago as two large pieces of cloth, attached at the shoulders by narrow strips, which covered the front and back of a monk’s habit. It was originally worn for the practical purpose of preserving the habit from dirt and wear, eventually
