Description

Saint Jude Thaddeus, the Patron Saint of Hope and help in impossible causes, was one of the twelve Apostles of Our Lord. He is clothed in a green robe which symbolizes hope and holds a staff or club to commemorate his martyrdom and a medallion of the Face of Christ. The medallion is an impression of Jesus, known as “The Image of Edessa.” According to tradition, King Abgar of Edessa (now part of Turkey) was suffering from a serious illness. He had heard of Jesus healing others and called for Jesus to heal him. Jesus pressed His face onto a piece of cloth and gave it to Saint Jude to present to King Abgar. Upon receiving the cloth King Abgar was healed.

Original Saints are lifelike figurine-statues which inspire love and devotion at every age. The statues were originally designed and made by the Original Saints Co., but the limited selection of Saints was recently expanded by the Sisters MICM! For some statues the clothing is hand-sewn by the Sisters MICM to custom fit, and hand-made accessories have also been included. These are truly "Original Saints" now! You won't find another one like it anywhere else!

Original Saint statues are a wonderful addition to any home, as a gift for a devotee, or even just as a reminder that the Saints are always there to intercede and pray for us to God.

Statue-like doll with base measures approximately 18.5 inches high.

Not a toy. Meant for display only.

No two statues are exactly alike. Exclusively from True Devotionals!
