This issue of "From the Housetops Magazine" features the life of Saint Jerome, one of the Fathers of the Church, who was born about 329. Jerome spent many years in the Holy Land mastering the Hebrew language. He translated the Old Testament and the New Testament into the "Latin Vulgate" the official bible of the Church. Jerome died in Bethlehem near the crib of Jesus. His letters and writings still influence the Church and monastic life today.
