Saint Alphonsus de Ligouri

Had he pursued his career in law, the name and life of Alphonsus Ligouri would have been forgotten soon after his death. We must be forever grateful that by cooperating with grace, Alphonsus responded enthusiastically to God's call to work in His vineyard. Only in eternity will we know the number of souls who owe their salvation to the labors of this most zealous Saint and Doctor of the Church.
