Immaculate Heart of Mary Statue (Hand-painted)

This exquisite 10” fully hand painted statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, depicts Our Lady inviting us to consider her Immaculate Heart, pierced by a sword of sorrow to remind us of the sorrows she suffered as co-redemptrix with Our Lord during His life and especially in His Passion.  Her heart is surrounded by roses, and emblazoned by the fire of divine love for her Son, the Holy Trinity and for all her children by grace. In her other hand, she holds a stalk of lilies, representing her virginal purity. Her face is beautiful, sweet and endearing to all who gaze upon it.

Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a long tradition in the Catholic Church.  It is a devotion to Mary’s interior life, her joys and sorrows, her virtues and hidden perfections, above all, her perfect love for God and humanity. 

Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is closely linked to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. No other creature is as closely associated with our redemption as the Blessed Virgin Mary.  She always leads us to Jesus.

The Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is celebrated on the Saturday immediately following the solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In 2021, the Feast will be celebrated on June 12.

The month of May is particularly devoted to Our Lady, and Mother’s Day is a particularly wonderful time to bring a statue of Our Lady into our homes to venerate the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother!
